Welcome to the Osprey Nest!

We are committed to make sure that you have an enjoyable visit here in the Columbia Valley, and in our home. Your day will start with breakfast, and from there possibilities are endless. We are hikers and are very knowledgable about the valley and its trails, and hidden but special places. You can also simply relax and enjoy the view, the lake, the beach, or recharge in your private suite

We bought the land for the Osprey Nest in 1982. Doug and sons Cameron and Ian basically built the house from the ground up. Their love and attention went into every nail. Construction on the house finished in 1996.

Doug and Marline moved permanently to Invermere in 2000. Doug retired in 1999 after 33 years of school teaching, and Marline retired in 2000 after 35 years with Pacific Western Air, Canadian Airlines, and Air Canada. Marline spent many of those years improving the business lounges across Canada and the US.

We decided on the name "Osprey Nest" because there is an actual osprey nest platform across the street. Every year little osprey hatchlings are born as we watch their development.

The Osprey Nest is located in the Fort Point area of Invermere, which boasts excellent views of the lake and surrounding park land.
